Privacy

HalaLaunch collects only what it needs to run the launchpad. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

What we store

  • Your email address and display name, and your profile picture if you sign in with Google.
  • The username, bio, website and X handle you add in Settings.
  • Apps you submit, including their text, links, logo and screenshots, plus review notes about them.
  • Your upvotes, comments and saved apps.
  • A session cookie that keeps you signed in, and short-lived records used for sign-in links and rate limits.
  • Whether you get news emails, and a record of each announcement we send you.

What is public

Your name, username, avatar, bio, website, X handle, launched apps and comments are visible to everyone. Vote totals are public; the list of who voted for an app is visible only to admins, to keep the leaderboard fair. Saved apps are private.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and does not build a profile of you, so there is no consent banner.

We also count views of each app page, visits that arrive from our campaign links (by their campaign tags) and clicks on the App Store, Google Play and website buttons on app pages. We keep these only as daily totals: no cookies, no IP addresses, nothing tied to you.

AI assistants. You can search HalaLaunch from AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT through our connector at mcp.halalaunch.com. When you do, the assistant’s servers send us the search words and filters it chose. We use them only to answer that request and do not store them. We keep daily counts of how many requests each tool receives from each assistant, with nothing about who made them. What the assistant does with your conversation is covered by its own privacy policy.

News emails

We occasionally email people who have an account about HalaLaunch news and features. These emails are on by default. You can turn them off at any time with the unsubscribe link in any news email or in Settings, and sign-in and submission emails keep arriving either way.

For each announcement we send you, we keep a record of the address it went to and whether it was delivered. News emails have no open tracking, so we don’t know whether you opened one. Links to HalaLaunch in them carry campaign tags, which we count only as daily totals, like our other campaign links.

Services we use

  • Cloudflare: hosting, database, image storage and bot protection on sign-in.
  • Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Cloudflare Email Service: delivery of sign-in links and emails about your submissions.
  • Resend: delivery of news emails.

Your choices

You can edit your profile in Settings and delete apps that have not launched from your dashboard. To delete your account or ask about your data, email hello@halalaunch.com.
